In this episode, we build a set of bunks for our tiny «Pop-Up Cabin» from deadwood cedar that I collected. I also install a security system, talk about my grandfather, and discuss my future plans over a cup of coffee.

В этом видео мы рассмотрим проект двухэтажного дома размером 9 на 9 метров. В доме имеются три спальни, два санузла, отдельная котельная и огромная столовая — гостиная. Стоимость строительства дома по этому проекту составит от 2 400 000 до 3 500 000 рублей, в зависимости от региона строительства и степени готовности дома. Дом предполагается строить из газосиликатных блоков толщиной 40 см, что обеспечит хорошую теплоизоляцию и экономичность строительства.

We show everything from setting and digging the pillars, cutting the 2x4s, ripping siding, cutting roof trusses, installing the metal roof, installing windows, chimney, wood stove, decking and building the front door.
We use a Norwood hd36 portable sawmill to make nearly all the materials for this build from locally sourced timbers.
We use ash, cedar, and pine for most of the structure and siding.

In this series we use materials around us to construct a small forest cabin.
Well use cedar, pine, ash, maple, and whatever else we can scrounge up from the 30 acres around us. The aim is to avoid using as much store bought material as possible and keep the budget reasonably low.
Originally we set a budget of $1000, but that included the use of a frame from an old camper trailer. As we build, the budget will remain flexible in effort to produce a cabin that we are proud of and one that will last a long while, be comfortable, and sleep real human beings.
